Superintendent

Hello Rice Raider Family!!  My name is Kenny Center and I have the honor and privilege of being the 7th Superintendent for Rice Consolidated ISD.

I am originally from San Antonio where I graduated from Winston Churchill High School.  I attended Ranger College and Texas A&M University in Kingsville and played baseball at both schools.  I earned my Bachelors in 2002 in Biology and my Masters from Lamar University in 2012 in Educational Leadership.

I am entering my 22nd year in education.  I have held various positions throughout my career to serve the needs of students which include being a Science Teacher, Coach, Vice-Principal, and Principal.  I am most excited and honored to be able to serve the communities of Rice CISD and to continue to build upon all the wonderful attributes that Rice CISD has.

I am married to Julie Center, who is the Principal at ELPS.  We have 2 children, our son Easton will be a Junior at Rice High School, and our daughter Shelby is attending Texas Tech University.

I am looking forward to a tremendous school year, meeting all the students, parents, and community members, and serving all stakeholders to make Rice CISD an exemplary school district to be proud of!
